A Considered Master Plan
The entire village of Terra Bella will be fully accessible to pedestrians. Residences placed in inviting, human-scaled neighborhoods. Comfortable, pedestrian-friendly tree-lined streets and lanes defined by picket fences. Neighborhood parks and large protected preserves interconnected by a pathway and trail system.
A school within walking distance from the homes of children living in the village. Enclaves where artists can craft their art and residents observe the creative process simultaneously. And a short walk from every residence; a bustling, vital Village Center offering shopping, dining, post office, amphitheater and recreation - all overlooking a lush village green space. Regularly scheduled events, concerts and festivals will further energize the plazas, amphitheater, meeting house and green areas.
Environmental Responsibility
The natural flora and fauna of this remarkable site are integral elements of Terra Bella's design process. Wetlands preserves represent almost half of the entire village and will support multiple species of birds and wildlife while providing restful spaces and vistas for residents of the neighborhoods. These preserves will be further nurtured and augmented with thoughtful indigenous landscaping, carefully placed hardscaping, parks, and inland lakes. Paved, elevated and soft path trails will meander throughout the village, preserves, and their environs, encouraging many hours of restful strolling, jogging with friends, birding, exploring, or simply spending time alone taking in the sights and sounds.
